Distinguished Alumni Award
The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest and most prestigious award the college can bestow upon its alumni. The award is presented to an alumnus or alumna of MCC who has demonstrated a record of distinguished service and extraordinary achievement in a particular discipline, organization, or cause that brings distinction to the college. Each year, one individual is chosen by the MCC Alumni Nominations Committee to receive this prominent award.
- Any individual may nominate an alumna and/or alumnus for this award. To be eligible, nominees must have successfully completed a minimum of a one-year certificate or two-year associate's degree program or have earned a minimum of 60 transferable hours (without a degree) from McLennan Community College.
- Nomination forms may be submitted online or be printed from the alumni web site at: http://alumni.mclennan.edu/. Documents to support the nomination (resume, awards, letters of recommendation) should be submitted by mail or fax to:

- Nominations must be submitted or postmarked by July 15, 2010 for consideration for the award announcement at the September 2010 Scholarship Recognition Ceremony. Recipient will be notified by August 15, 2010 so he or she may make plans to attend the ceremony. The Honoree's name will be engraved on a paver in the Highlander Legacy Plaza and on a permanent display on the MCC campus.
Please note: The attachment of relevant support documents (i.e., awards, resume, press clippings, etc.) is encouraged. At least one letter of recommendation from someone other than the nominator is required.
